The proposal stated: “Check and renail (sic) existing roof boards and replace any if rotted.” “New white aluminum drip edge will be installed.” When I asked about the condition of the wood, he stated “it's good.” However, while cleaning the garage floor after they were done, I noticed many pieces of dry rotted wood on the floor. As a result of my observation, I had the roof inspected by a professional roofing contractor. The following issues were noted: 1. Probes showed extensive rotted wood 2. Decking has greater than 1/4” spacing which negates manufacture's shingle warranty 3. New aluminum drip edge was not installed
